“Adaptation, Translation, and Identity” promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas across different fields and promises to be a comprehensive and multifaceted exploration of adaptation, translation, and identity, offering valuable insights and fostering advancements in these interconnected disciplines.

Description
“Adaptation, Translation, and Identity” is a joint project led by Dr. Nicholas Hauck and Dr. Jane Koustas (Emerita), which responds to current debates on national identity by comparing translation and adaptation history and strategies in Québec and Irish theatre.

The unique focus of this project brings a translation studies lens to examine the relationship between theatre and identity, with the aim of furthering cross-disciplinary dialogue and new research methods.
