This was a four month Resident Producer scheme at one of London’s leading new play development theatres, the Olivier Award winning Theatre503.
The Resident Producers are key members of the Theatre503 team, supporting the Artistic Director, Producer, Associate Directors and General Manager. The scheme was ideal to gain experience in a busy, professional London New Writing Venue and a new ecology. Responsibilities included supporting the Producer, General Manager and Artistic Director on varied aspects of the production process, including:
- Casting & Creative Team Recruitment and Contracting
- Marketing
- Press
- Administration
- Grant Writing
Additionally I was proud to act as producer on:
503 Futures
A collection of short dramas from three emerging playwrights you are destined to hear more of in 2016. The short plays consisted of Deepa The Saint by Sonali Bhattacharyya, Coda by DHW Mildon and Tight Bastards by Asif Khan
Community Engagement
Theatre503’s social outreach program in partnership with Katherine Low Settlement. A series of Job Application Skills Workshops were held, as 503 went into the Battersea community providing support to variety of individuals.
And help disseminate the unique 503 New Playwright Award internationally.
